Pongalo Pongal

Tuesday, January 15, 2008

We celebrated Pongal today (should be the correct time in India).  We had just a small, simple dinner at home with Greg over for dinner.  Divya was thrilled to have someone new to play with.  Her Uncle Greg never fails to amuse her and keep her entertained.  My 1st attempt at Chakarai (Sweet/Sugar) Pongal actually turned out pretty fine.  Hopefully, I’ll be able to add the very short video clip of the milk boiling over soon 🙂

Happy Pongal to all my family and friends celebrating.

Hi!… I wanted to stop by and thank you for visiting my blog, and for your very sweet comments!

Are you from India? My Mom is from India! 😀 … I’ve never heard of Pongal before. What does that celebrate? Is it a religeous holiday?

    Nice to meet you!
