Wright Foot Forward

Friday, January 18, 2008

It’s been awhile since Divya and I ventured out to many kiddy activities.  So it was an absolute thrill for her to set foot in Wright Foot Forward which is a place that conducts many classes such as Early Childhood Dance, Youth Dance, Kindermusik, Yoga and Art.  They have 2 big dance studios (from what I saw) that are also used as Friday Play Time session areas for kids up to 6 to explore, read books, play with toys and instruments, meet new friends and boogey if they’re in the mood.

I think it’s quite a good experience for Divya learning how to play with kids who are in her age group – and SHE LOVES playing with new toys.  She even got the chance to “play dress-up”.  And it’s a good opportunity for me to make friends with people who are in the same boat as me.  Looks like it’s going to be regular event!

Divya trying to figure out the “crawl through” worm.  Now that she walks, she tries to stand up while she’s in there to finish the journey.

Divya liked one of the girls’ fathers.  He was doing “cool” tricks like heading the balls, making funny sounds….. – unlike her “uncool” Amma.

The playroom/dance studio.

The BIG BEAR ISHNIKOV reading corner.  I love this bear!

Divya loves the hula hoops – even attempting 2 at one go!

Divya practising a dance move – her “cool” Amma taught her ofcourse hehe

Oh to be that age, to be carefree — to dance with abandon, to play dress up and make believe…why oh why do we lose this as we go through life? I so needed to see these photographs today — reminding me that we are never “too old” — and the child within us lives forever — and always wants to come out and play!!

    Your daughter is delightful!!! xo
