Arrival of the mapillai and mapillai tholan

   Made to pose by Subramani

Getting ready to make our exit from the temple

Wifely duties have already begun – to carry the thalappa so that the mapillai can drive 🙂

The classy decoration – by Art Teacher, Janis and Elan – thanks Janis 🙂

Subramani was the name of our 1st car – well, Elan’s 1st car – he bought/ordered it before he met me, but collected it after we had started going out – so doesn’t that make it OUR car?

Anyway, amongst the many memories we shared while WE 😉 had that car, one was of the mapillai driving himself (with the mapillai tholan, my brother – it was funny, they looked like they were on the way to a party and since they had arrived earlier than me, they had to circle until I had arrived and gone up to the dressing room) to our wedding and then my husband driving us home from our wedding.  And the song playing in the car loudly as we drove off from the temple to aggravate the old mamas and mamis?

Hi Bavani. Great photos! I was looking at my wedding photos the other day too… brings back some pleasant memories. As I flipped through the album, I could even remember what was running through my head at the time the photos were taken (not for all, of course..)

Me too – I look at them sometimes to remember that day. I have been blessed with a bad memory hehe – so I need to look at the pictures, and thankfully, I too remember what I was feeling at different moments 🙂
